Summer is fast approaching
and one of the things that you can enjoy during this season is to dip in the pool
or visit the beach and beat the heat! Of course you need to be a good swimmer
or at least you know how to swim. I confess to you my dear readers; I don’t
know how to swim. Waahhh… Well, marunong ako ng unti pero yung abot lang ng paa
ko yung floor pero pag hindi na, lunod ako for sure.
Rhian loves water! As in!
We bought her mini pool where she can enjoy playing with waters. During our
Boracay getaway, I noticed that she’s willing to learn how to swim kasi as
early as 1 year old, we expose her in the water. So we decided that we should enroll
our panganay in a swimming lesson, but due to our busy schedule nakalimutan na namin
syang ituloy. Awwww.. Until I got an invitation from Mommy Bloggers Philippines
and Bert Lozada Swim School to be part of their “BLeSSed at 60” event at AceWater Spa in Pasig. I was fortunate that my husband is joining with me on that
day, at least tig isa kami ng anak sa pag babantay. We arrived early at the
venue (well, kami nga pala ang early bird. Hehe), the employees of BLSS are
very accommodating, they are knowledgeable about the programs they are
offering, in fact we spend almost 30 minutes talking with them. :)
Bert Lozada Swim School
(BLSS), the country’s largest swim institution, announced the programs and
schedules for their 2016 courses that provide personalized and group teaching
instruction to infants, children and adults through the Bert Lozada Swim System.
The BLSS teaches water safety and survival techniques as well as helps conquer
one’s hydrophobia. Under the Bert Lozada Swim System, every student surely
acquires the basic skills in survival swimming. At BLSS, everyone can swim.
We got to personally meet the sons of the late Mr. Bert Lozada; Mr. Angelo Lozada, the Chief Operating Officer of BLSS, Mr. Anthony Joseph Lozada, CEO of BLSS and Mrs. Pepper Angeles – Lozada, BLSS Infant Aquatics Program Manager.

According to Angelo, “2016 is our 60th year
and we are excited to welcome both old and new students into the Bert Lozada
Swim System this summer in over 60 of our venues nationwide!” Wow! Congrats for BLSS! We were free to ask
questions and they answer all the queries and explain in details. Look at the
husband, he asked question about using floaters to the kids.
After the discussion, it’s time for the photo ops session with the Lozadas, and right after that we were ushered inside the water spa where the free trial swimming lesson will be held. This is the first time I experience the water spa and I must say that I enjoyed it. Please take note of the rules and regulations; everyone must be wearing the proper swimming attire. A pandex-made swimming attire is strictly required to be worn when using the facilities. Bathing suit for female and fitted swimwear for male (No beach or board shorts please), please bring your own bath towel as well, if you forgot to bring towel, you can rent it at Php 150 each. No bringing of food and beverages inside the spa area.

varsity program, which easily integrates into any existing school curriculum.
Highly
trained teaching staff equipped for all ages from pre-school to college, can
implement training in your school, observing the ideal STUDENT:TEACHER ratio.
Our structured yet flexible program (based on current best teaching
methodologies from Australia and USA) not only teaches basic aquatic skills,
but also educates students on survival and safety practices appropriate to each
age group and grade level.
PRIVATE LESSONS
BLSS specializes in private instruction in a private
location, scheduled according to the student’s convenience. Available to
students from 6 months of age to adult.
Free Swimming Lessons
Among
the perennial problems our society confronts is the growing number of
out-of-school youth and its social and psychological impact in the community.
Giving them worthwhile activities and using their idle time is one way to develop
these youths to become productive citizens. Bert Lozada Swim School helps in
teaching indigent children the necessary swimming skills that will help them
improve their lives… for free. They are taught life-saving skills in the event
of a flood, as well as allow them to get into the swim program in order to have
a chance at a college scholarship.

continuously updates its technical expertise through the staff’s participation
in seminars both here and abroad such as those conducted by the United States Swim
