Now, my problem is ang hilig na nyang mangagat, lahat ng bagay kinakagat nya.. I guess dahil nangangati yung gums nya kaya ganon but I'm so worried kasi I'm a breastfeeding mom meaning madalas nyang kagatin yung nipples ko.. Huhu. So I need your advise kung pano ko matutulungan ang baby ko sa ganitong scenario, I gave her teething biscuit and teething toys but still she really wants to bite my nipples every time I breastfed her.
Pero still kahit na masakit, happy parin ako.. I'm sooooooo excited na makita pang tumubo ang mga ngipin nya.. Simple joy of a first time mom.. ^_^
Wow!! Maabutan mo pa ata si James, Rhian!! So far 3 na yung visible teeth ni James eh. 2 below tapos 1 sa taas then the other one is slowly showing up din!! Asahan mo na yang kagat na yan Rackell.. Si james nga lahat kinakagat. Pati alikabok nakakain, ayun kaya na ospital last time diba? But now, mejo ok na sya..=) So happy for your Rhian!!! =)
ReplyDeleteSis, when she tries to be you while breastfeeding, first, you STOP nursing (temporarily of course) to give her an idea that it's not acceptable. If she still bites you, pinch her nose. That will force her to stop biting kasi she will have to breathe through her mouth. Just keep doing that; actually, firm talking will work kasi they will understand.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mommy, cge I'll do it nga.. Super kulit na kc sya eh, lalo na nagka ngipin na..
DeleteYay to the first tooth. Provide a cold fruit wrap in a wash cloth as it will sooth her gums. Re: biting, I agree on Marie, the earlier it is that you make her understand that it hurts, the better.
ReplyDeleteCongrats sa 1st Rhian! more to go! :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be simple, just try to take it out when your kid bites your nipple. or else, you can (super duper very) lightly tap her mouth to signify that she must not do it. It'll probably take up a couple of weeks to work. :D
ReplyDeleteA baby's first tooth is a great milestone! Congrats Rhian! :)
ReplyDeleteHihi. Ang cute ng smile! I suddenly miss my daughter being a baby. Congrats on her first tooth! <3
ReplyDeleteCongrats! We had a hard time when my son had his first tooth. There's fever and pain associated to it so what we did was we bought teething gel (Sans Fluo) and teether.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, her first tooth! So adorable! I really can't give advice on how to deal with her biting you because I don't have first hand experience. But if you're giving her teething gel try to refrigerate it first to enhance the cooling effect. Good luck!
