I got this recipe from my favorite blogger,panlasangpinoy.com. This dish needs a lot of patience to balance the taste of all
the ingredients. Beef Stew is one of my favorite Filipino dishes. I was
surprised when I perfectly made it. Woohooo!!! Like what panlasangpinoy author
says, “It is simple yet all the flavors work in harmony.”
Now, still
thinking on what to cook for lunch or dinner? Try this recipe because it has a breathtaking
savor.
- ½ kilo beef, cube
- 1 medium carrots, chopped
- 1 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 pieces bay leaves, dried
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch diluted in 2 tbsp water
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Procedures:
1.
Soften the beef in
pressure cooker for 15 minutes. Drain and Set Aside.
2.
Heat oil in a pot.
3.
Sear the beef, add onion,
garlic, bay leaves, ground cloves, and paprika. Stir and cook for 2
minutes.
4.
Pour-in beef broth and let
boil. Simmer until beef becomes tender. Add water as needed.
(Depends on your
taste).
5.
Add carrots, potatoes,
salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 6 to 10 minutes.
6.
Pour-in diluted
cornstarch. Stir and cook for a minute more.
7.
Turn off heat and transfer
to a serving bowl.
8.
Serve. Share and enjoy!
