This is a super late post, sorry medyo
busy lang ang nanay sa pag aalaga ng bagets plus hinintay pa namin yung mga
photos from our official photographer. :p
Anyway, we decided to have Rhian baptized
when she was three months old, sabi kasi nila (older people) di pwedeng ilabas
ang baby pag hindi pa nabibinyagan, so last April 26 Saturday we welcome our
little angel in the Christian community; this is one of our goals in 2014. Planning
the first very special event of our daughter is so easy for me because I have
lots of friends who helped me in this occasion. I’ll be writing a separate post about the list
of suppliers next week, promise! Hehe.
Before the ceremony, Ian and I together
with two sponsors attended the seminar. This is required by the church prior to
the baptism. The session starts at 9am until 10:15am discussing the role of
parents and godparents and the importance of baptism. Then right after the
seminar we went back to our home to fetch our baby girl. The rite of baptism
starts around 11:30am which last for about 20 minutes. By the way, I want to
thank the godparents of Rhian who were at the church early.

The actual rites were solemn and short just like what we hoped it to be. Oopppsss.. Before I forgot, Rhian is sleeping during the ceremony, kaya tuwang tuwa si Father sa kanya. ^_^
At The Reception
Before we start the program, a short prayer was led by her Ninang Elaine followed by short message from her ninongs and ninangs.

Ninang Cha, Ninang Steph and Ninang Jack
Ninang Roan, Ninang Gen and Ninang Olyn
We had a simple lunch, chickahan moments with our friends and of course, mawawala ba ang unlimited picture taking per table.

After the picture taking, we gave a simple speech to our guests. Maikli lang naman pero galing naman sa puso. Naks!

We found that baptismal celebration simply enjoyable. The party was success! Everyone was satisfied with the food, good conversation and unconditional love. Together with our family, relatives and friends, we welcome Rhian into the Christian world. This is exactly we got what we wanted.
Finally at home with all of Rhian’s gifts.
Nice to see the baby sleeping through out the ceremony but was all eyes for the photo session :-)
